His first company, and the one on which his import and distribution capability was built. It imported chocolate, biscuits, chips, soft drinks, coffee, milk and baby food through a godown in Gulshan, Dhaka, and forwarded them to Chattogram for supply to Meena Bazar, Agora, Shwapno and Khulshi Mart at a monthly volume above ৳60 lakh, and to the five-star Radisson Blu. Products were sourced from the Middle East and Malaysia: he held the sole Bangladesh distributorship for Munchy's, the Malaysian biscuit brand, distributed Masafi beverages from the UAE, and carried Huggies — Kimberly-Clark's American brand — through the same Gulf distribution channel.
